    RC Aerodyne’s 38 acre Searchlight Airpark in Searchlight, Nevada and its runway are being developed into a center for commercial drone testing and development. Available uses include preparation for drone certification, law enforcement, agricultural, and an area for recreational RC flying.

    With 300+ days of flying weather annually, Nevada is one of the most promising locations for UAS testing and development. The State has designated UAS development as one of the major goals of economic diversity within the State. Searchlight is one of very few airports which has no restrictions due to airport approaches and flight paths preventing, limiting or restricting UAS testing and development.

Our airfield supports full development and testing of UAS vehicles, featuring a 34 mile long FAA approved corridor and non-interference with any airport approach patterns.

• Drone Approval Process

Our associates can help guide your drone through the entire approval process for sale and deployment in the United States. From design, machining and production of new parts to actual test flying, all these tasks can be accomplished at the Searchlight Airpark.

• Hobby Flying and Events

In addition to commercial projects, the air field is also available for RC Events and Hobby Clubs. Fly your personal RC helicopters and airplanes without limits in the unrestricted airspace over the Searchlight Air Field.
